The Leadership Timeline

Every position held has been a step not in personal advancement, but in collective service — to the profession, to young CAs, and to the broader community that depends on them.

  1. 2012
    2012

    Founded Professional Practice

Established Mohan Chandra & Associates as a Chartered Accountancy firm in Kurnool — built on a foundation of integrity, client-centric service, and deep specialisation in project financing, taxation, and governance. This founding year set the direction for everything that followed: professional, social, and personal. It was the beginning of a practice committed not just to compliance, but to counsel.

  2. 2022
    2022 – 23

    Secretary, ICAI Kurnool Branch (SIRC)

Took on the first formal leadership role at the ICAI Kurnool Branch under the Southern India Regional Council. The focus was on structured communication, member engagement, and expanding the branch's reach across the district. This tenure built a foundation of institutional understanding — learning how to serve a collective rather than an individual client, and how governance within a professional body requires both precision and empathy.

  3. 2023
    2023 – 24

    SICASA Chairman, ICAI Kurnool Branch

Led the Students' Association chapter with a clear purpose — bridge the gap between CA students and the profession they aspire to join. Organised awareness programmes, mentorship sessions, mock examination workshops, and career guidance events that gave hundreds of CA aspirants clarity and confidence. Believed firmly that the future of the profession is shaped in the study rooms of today's students.

  4. 2024
    2024 – 25

    Vice Chairman, ICAI Kurnool Branch

Assumed the Vice Chairmanship, working closely with branch leadership to design and execute impactful programmes for CA members, students, and the wider business community. This role demanded strategic thinking alongside day-to-day execution — governance reforms, knowledge-sharing events, and strengthening the visibility of the CA profession in Kurnool and surrounding districts of Andhra Pradesh.

  5. 2025
    2025 – 26

    Chairman, ICAI Kurnool Branch (SIRC)

Elevated to the highest elected position at the ICAI Kurnool Branch under the Southern India Regional Council. As Chairman, the mandate is clear: elevate CA education, deepen ties with the MSME ecosystem, foster professional ethics, and create platforms that celebrate the contribution of Chartered Accountants to society. The chair is not a seat of privilege — it is a seat of responsibility, held with humility and purpose.

Continuing Contribution — Beyond the Title

Leadership does not end with a term. The commitment continues — to the CA fraternity, to the MSME ecosystem, and to policy-level thinking that can reshape how professionals, small businesses, and communities interact with each other. The next chapter is about scale, substance, and sustained impact that outlasts any official designation.

Contributions to the Profession

Leadership is measured not by the position held, but by the value created for those who look up to you. These are the four pillars of Sekhar's contribution to the Chartered Accountancy profession.

Community Engagement

Built active engagement platforms for CA members across Kurnool and Andhra Pradesh — from branch events and networking meets to collaborative initiatives with government bodies and business chambers. Creating spaces where CAs connect, share, and grow together as a fraternity rather than as isolated practitioners.

Brand Building for the CA Profession

Actively working to elevate public perception of Chartered Accountants through media presence, awareness campaigns, and community outreach. Demonstrating that CAs are not just number-crunchers — they are advisors, governance experts, leaders, and nation builders whose role in the economy is foundational.

Knowledge-Driven Activities

Organised and facilitated seminars, workshops, and webinars on GST, IBC, financial restructuring, anti-money laundering, and governance — equipping members with relevant, current knowledge in a rapidly evolving regulatory landscape. Partnered with institutions to bring credible, accessible professional education to all members.

MSME Ecosystem Development

Championing the cause of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises — helping them understand finance, compliance, and governance through targeted awareness programmes. Bridging the gap between professional expertise and the ground-level needs of small business owners who drive the local economy of Kurnool and the region.

Let's Build Something Meaningful Together

Whether you are a CA professional, a student finding your footing, or an MSME owner seeking clarity — there is a place for you in this conversation. Reach out, connect, and contribute to something larger than yourself.
